assalamu alaykum again Interesting question about one of my favorite song from your sublime last album : in "Rain Song", what is the african language we can hear ?
From Native Deen:
Salaams, Happy to hear you in enjoy the rain song. The language spoken there is Zulu. The song was written while on a relief trip to west Africa. It was written near Timbuktu, in mali. I wanted to have some of the local language in it, but it wasn't possible at the time. So we sent it to our good friend zain bhikha to work on it along with some of our other friend from south Africa. And that's how we got a portion of the song in Zulu.

Me and my family bumped into you guys at the GPU London 2008 @ Excel - in the car park and we got my little cousin to come and say salaam to you guys, and after acting all tough 2 minutes earlier, he got all shy and just smiled at you guys! But you guys said salaam and told him you loved his glasses! You made his day! Thanks! We're huuuuuuuge fans of yours and hope to hear you guys perform at this year's GPU in London in October Inshallah! P.S. We love the interludes!
From Native Deen:
Salaams Naeema, thats cool we are glad we could make his day. Yeah we will try to have interludes, but most likely just a few.
